Piston?

I have a 05 450r w/ the Hrc kit. Im going to put on a full exhaust and was wondering what kind and what compression you guys prefer for XC racing? Is the piston worth it in xc? Also will I need Race gas? Thanks for any replies.

we run a 13:1 thermal coated piston in our 450r for xc.

i will be running 12:1 with a hot cam stg 2 on pump 93 or 91

Even with XC you can always blast out of the corners faster. You can go with a 12:1 and still run pump. If you don't have any suspension upgrades I would do those first, or at least the rear.

Yurik what kindve piston are you using? Im probably gonna go with a 12:1, what company do you guys recommend?

my 13:1 Wiesco is awsome. Have someone check your cylinder though. You might need it bored or recoated.
