Basically just boxing in that part of the frame for more strength. Those areas were cracked and one side was bent from someone beating the pivot bolt out.

I had to relocate the tab for the rear brake spring so the spring would clear the frame. Its off at the powdercoaters now.
Just wondering the reason behind it. If you were doing it for looks or for function.

At first it was strength, but I'd say it's both.

Candy Apple Red over chrome, should look pretty sweet,
The rest of the quad's color scheme is these two colors:

Lmao, do you know what the stock frame looks like?
Stock is on the right,
Better support the bottom by the footpeg mounts, that area is the weakest point on a 400ex frame. You probably just made it even weaker by beefing up that area. Looks good though...

Do you have any pictures of that?
This was a little over kill because I actually broke both lower frame rails completely in half...:eek2: BUt some type of gusset in the foot peg area is a good idea. To be honest there was already a gusset in the area on both sides and it still broke...

Looks good, I'm going to have to do that. I didn't really think about that when I was doing the sides, all that stress is going to transfer downwards and crack it down there.
So you just kind of boxed that in?
