Hey there..I just got my new HMF full exhust system with the K&N filter and the filter's wear. (Lid is on)

I got the 175 main jet but I don't have the hole jet kit.
I tried to switch from the original main jet to the 175 and the results were not good at all. I can't push the throttle more than 1/4 and I can only drive at low speed. I tried to insert the original again instead of the 175 and it's works fine. How come?
Do I need to change the air flow mixture? cause I couldn't find a way to change the air screw!

Is the 175 main jet is good for my quad? Do I need to change the needle jet and the starter jet also?

Do I need to buy the hole jet kit?

Which Jet kit is recommended for my quad? -Dvx400(=z400)

This is taken from the HMF website :

Z400 <-'04 Slip on 170 Mikuni Small
---->Z400 <-'04 Full 175 Mikuni Small<-----
Z400 '05-> Slip on 145 Mikuni Small
Z400 '05-> Full 150 Mikuni Small

Thank you guyz..

175 is rather large...I would shoot somewhere around 160ish..

Even if Hmf recommend the 175 for the full system?

with lid on you cant go as high. try a 165ishmaybe 160..

she is dogging on acceleration because she is getting to much fuel...

Here's where mine is at as of today..
Full Rossier shorty
155 Dynojet main
3rd clip from top Dynojet needle
3.5 turns out from llightly seated
No lid
Stock filter oiled and bit dirty..slightly not bad.

4hrs on her with fresh mobil1 and filter.

Sea level here and about 68 Degree's today.

She ran like a raped ape and idle perfectly.Immediate start-up and purred...

I tried other things/combo's..she did'nt like the lid with the 155 and didn't like the 150 with no lid.

Ive got the same stuff on my kfx as u do except a k&n powerlid so i get cleaner air in my engine instead of just taking off the lid. i use a 160 main jet in mine and it runs awesome. i would say go with a 155-160 main jet

Thanks Guyz!

But HondaRider250 if i'll use the 160 main jet do I need to change the air screw too? something else? like pilot jet or the needle.. (btw ur 160 main jet of dynojet =150 main jet Mikuni)
My 175 main jet is the same in dynojet and Mikuni.

Cause the problem in my carb that I can't change the air screw cause I don't have one..

And if I want to use the 175 what do I need to change in my carb to make it work..?
