I would appreciate your input. I have run 7 paddle haulers in the past on my 440ex. Presently I have an 05 450r with stage II cam, Dr. D exhaust and 13 tooth. My buddy sold me some 8 paddle 22" gliders on rims for $150 with virtually no hours on them. I think I bought way too much paddle. What do you think?

you should be fine... you should hvae some good power with your 450r, and gliders have a smaller paddle than haulers... you should be fine... if you are worried just make sure you have a lot of air in them- that will make them spin more...

The paddles themselves are okay. My only concern is the 22 inch height is a little tall, but you should be okay with a 13T front sprocket.

In reality, it isn't all THAT critical unless you're in stiff competition for drag racing. Any paddle will be better than knobbies, and just about any paddle will work just fine for recreational dune riding.

The paddles worked great at the dunes. Surprised multiple yfz's and an assortment of other quads at dumont. I would recommend 22" gliders with 7 paddles for a 450r.

yeah - never too much hook up - I run 10 paddles on my 440 and wouldn't reccomend anything else -

I was out at Dumont again this last weekend. I took off my Dr. D. slip-on and put the stock pipe back on. I hit 49 miles per hour on Banshee Hill and 45 mph on competition hill. I traded wins with a 04 450r with a sparks pipe, 8 paddle haulers. The other rider was about the same weight as me. His quad would take me out of the hole most of the time. I like these paddles, however a little bit more bite on the starts would be better.

I forgot to leave some commentary on my excursion over president's day weekend during February. I beat multiple 06 yfz's with cam mod and full pipes. I did get beaten by some yfz's and trx's. The thing is one of my buddies has a 06 yfz with cam mod and a full carbon pipe. Well I beat him soundly 4 times in a row by 3 to 4 lengths even when he left early(on banshee hill, no whoops, because he doesn't like whoops). This guy has a lot of experience on the hill. This last weekend he was at dumont and his quad was beating everything out there yfz 470 with 44mm Electron, all 06 450r's by supposedly 50 feet. I rode the 470 and I thought my 05 would be close to it. My issue is it just doesn't make sense that my 05 is so fast now with so few of mods.
What has been your experience with similar mods on an 05 in drag racing.
