View Full Version : +3 A-Arms?

07-15-2002, 07:45 PM
I was thinking about buying a pair of three inch over a-arms. I've narrowed it down to either Lonestar or Laegers. If someone has any information about either of these brands please reply.

Thanks...

JD Arms are the same as laegers, Steve the guy that builds the JD arms worked for Leagers for like 15 years so he knows how to build and weld a arms. JDs service will be way better and more pleasant then ordering Laegers from anywhere else. Just good people who build sell a good product.

If you look at the the way laegers and JD are made they are EXACTLY the same, Just JD is a lot cheaper.

Actually the JD`s are the same as the Old Laeger a-arms. If you go to Baldwin`s Laeger has New a-arms with bigger ball joints and I don`t think JD does. Get Laeger.

Maybe Laeger was using different ball joints from the beginning, its going to be really hard to brake a ball joint on a pair of JD arms i have like 3 extra floating around my tool box and there beefy unless you crash hard real hard at that point i want something cheap like a ball joint to brake to save an a arm. JD's ball joints are the same as housers :p so there is some type of consisous that they are big enough. There is no need really to spend the extra money unless your going long travel. JD does not yet have a long travel they are working on it.

I would get Houser over JD, but that is me. You won`t go wrong with any Brand really. I think A-Arms are like PEP or Axis Shocks, you just get which brand you like better and your done with it.

I HIGHLY reccommend the Herrmannracing.com's +3s. They are better than the roll design lobo II's. The dont have a ball joint with a stud on the top arm that will bend. They are built like the Walshes, only at a fraction of the cost. I suggest staying away from ball joints with studs, they will give you a headache. Get some arms with a sperical race bearing.
