I put my stock 400ex a-arms on my wifes 300ex. They fit perfect, and are 2in's over the stock 300ex a-arms. The only problem is on the lower 400ex a-arms the shock mount is located further out on the a-arm, so with the stock 300ex shocks the bike sits lower in the front. Has anyone ever done this? and if so how did you fix the shock issue. And what shocks did you use. I tied putting my stock 400ex shocks on but they were to long. Suspension travel is not a big issue, she just does slow trail rides and sand dunes. So I thought of lowing the back end to match the front. Or the bike comes stock with 22in tires in the rear, so if I put 20in tires in the rear that may leavel it out. Any thoughts. Here are some pics.
