The course is ran through part of an Oil Field, owned by Chevron. They have hundreds of acres that they can use, and this could allow them to have a different track every weekend if they wanted to...

A new thing to worcs this round, was the testing of sound. Not on just pros, but everyone had to pass, or I should say everyone will have to pass. Starting at the next round in Havasu, everyone needs to be no higher the at the sound decimal of 101.

When walking around the pro pits, there is defintly one set up that you can not miss, Josh Frederick and his Golden West / Epic set up is one of the most visible out there.

Many of the ATV racers, have been making the switch to Fox Shocks, which seem to be working very well.

There are three different pro classes that you can run in one weekend at worcs. Production Pro, Open Pro, and the Pro. And most of the top pros run all of them.

Josh Frederick is one of the pros who not only signs up for the pro classes, but he also runs the Utility class.

quadchick01
02-14-2006, 05:59 PM
Logan Holladay also runs the pro classes and had planned on signing up for the Utility class, but unfortunately
he had some bad luck. Logan went down on the first lap, and was not able to finish the race.

quadchick01
02-14-2006, 05:59 PM
Doug Eichner was also lined up for the production class.

quadchick01
02-14-2006, 06:00 PM

It was Doug Eichner out front on the first lap. Eichners first lap time was around seven minutes and thirty seconds.

This guy was just dying for some press time.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:18 PM
BUt it was Doug Eichner who took the win in the production pro class, with Josh Fredrick taking the second place position, and David Lyndsay taking third after moving his way from the fifth place position.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:20 PM
Josh Frederick took the win for the utility class with Andrew Lattimer taking the second place, and Dean Waters taking third.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:21 PM
One thing about the long races, is that you definitely have time to stop and put your seat back on if it falls off.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:22 PM
Unfortunetly, it also means that you have to have a reliable quad.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:23 PM
And throwing the chain is bad enough, with out it getting stuck, and not being able to finish the race.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:24 PM
This is the landing that caused many riders to crash, but the track workers where quick to get it fixed right before the womens race.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:24 PM
But because of that hole the emt's made a few trips to the huge step-up, to tend to the brave riders who tried it.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:26 PM
Who said the everyone is serious in the pits??? Doug Eichner's mechanic, Lenny, was showing the Disney Land spirit with these Mickey Mouse ears.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:27 PM
The most interesting race of the day to watch, and also particpate in was the team race. The rules where that you had to switch every lap, so teams where real quick to get down the routine for switching fast.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:28 PM
Phil Dampier had just finished a raced, and was ready to go again for the team race.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:29 PM
His partner Roy Bloodworth, was nice enough to go first, and allow Phil a little bit more time to rest.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:31 PM

Saturday racing was over, and it was time for everyone to head to bed, to get a good night sleep, especially those who where one of the first races in the morning.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:38 PM
Zack Grodski, was having a bad weekend. After breaking in his race saturday he decided to try his luck in the 15-29 A Class, but threw his chain on the first lap when he had just moved into the lead, and was unable to finish the race.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:39 PM
There was plenty of the new Suzukis out on the track, and they looked as if they would make a really GREAT bike for the worcs series.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:39 PM
Cain Smead grabbed the first place position in the +30 A Class very quickly after the start of the race.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:43 PM

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:45 PM
Brittany Brosious took 5th in the 15-29 A class, and also finished up second in the womens a class.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:47 PM
Roy Bloodworth had worked his way into the 6th place position, after getting a bad start, when he got a flat tire.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:47 PM
Unfortunetly for Roy, he came unprepared and had to ride the rest of the race on a flat.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:48 PM
Cain Smead, who was also pitting for himself took the win in the +30 A Class.

quadchick01
02-17-2006, 10:50 PM
It was time for the main race of the weekend, the Pro Race. With twenty four racers on the line, we knew it was going to be an intense race.

Logan Holladay grabbed the holeshot for the $200 bucks that awaited him when he finished the race.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:16 AM
Doug Eichner had made the pass around Holladay, but had to stop on the next lap, due to a flat tire.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:17 AM
Dustin Terry, who is a new face to not only the worcs series, but also to the pro class. This is Terry's first year attempting to run a pro class. Unfortunetly he did not have a good weekend, and did not finish one of the races he entered prior to this race, he just wanted to finish.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:18 AM
Number 95 Justin Waters was running in the Pro-Am class and was in the first place position.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:19 AM
Josh Fredericks took over the first place position.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:20 AM
Logan Holladay was running in the second place.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:20 AM
And Doug Eichner was on a move, and determined to make up the time that he lost from the flat tire.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:23 AM
Andy Lagzdins was running in the 5th place position, after working his way from a bad start of 9th place.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:25 AM
Robert Kramar was running in the 9th place in the Pro-Am class.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:26 AM
Doug Eichner was able to take over the first place position, but would loose it again right after this, when he had to take a pit stop for gas.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:27 AM
Fredricks would move back into the first place position.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:28 AM
Phil Dampier, who was running in the 6th place position, ran into some slight problems, and was not able to finish the race.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:31 AM
Logan Holladay was running in the 3rd spot.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:32 AM
Brandon Brown was running in the fourth place position.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:34 AM
Eichner thought that he would be able to make the pass around Frederick when he stopped for gas, but the thing that Eichner did not know what the Frederick would not be stopping for gas before the end of the race. So he had to real him in and make the pass, which he was able to do.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:36 AM
Frederick was still running in the second place position. And with the finish line in sight, Frederick was thinking that he was just going to finish in the second place.

Unfortunetly for Eichner about 100 yards before the finish line he lost his front sprocket. And had to pish his quad across the finish line. Allowing Frederick to make the pass and take home the first place. Eichner took second, and Holladay took home third.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:37 AM
After talking to Eichner after the race, he simply said that he worked to hard to have to push his quad across the finish line.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:38 AM
Frederick, Eichner, and Holladay talking before the podium.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:39 AM
And after an hour and a half race, the top three where happy to celebrate.

quadchick01
02-20-2006, 11:41 AM
But it was time for everyone to pack up and head home.

Young Tommy Harris was sad to be leaving, but was excited to know that the next race was just that much sooner.

The next race is March 10-12 and will be held in Havasu. See everyone there.
