Nice looking work!! I didnt know rath had parts too. Gonna have to check them out. Whose axle is that? I thought it was DuraBlue or nothin but that does not look like a dura blue.

It's a durablue axle with 400ex hubs and 2" wheel spacers in the rear. It measures out to 45". The front end with 4/1 offset wheels is 46".

Sorry for the 20 questions game but im really interested in your setup. Is that axle the one they sell specifically for the pred 90 or is it a 400 axle?

Just trying to figure out if I go with the axle they sell for our 90 or the 400 axle.

Thanks for your patience.

Not a problem. It is the one for the Predator 90. I just added the 400EX hubs to get a little more width. 3" to be exact which put it at 41" wide in the rear. But when I installed the Rath Duals up front the rear was a little to narrow for our liking and had to reistall the rear spacers, putting it at 45" now.

will the 400ex hubs bolt onto the stock axle?

Yes. They are both 24 spline.

just by bolting on the 400ex rear hubs you gain 3 inches of width? you just take off the stock pred hub and put on the ex hub with the stock pred nut? thanks in advance!!

Thanks so much for your help. I hope I can get that color for my sons too. That looks really good. I hadnt thought about doing the different hubs but it makes sense.

Now I just have to find a pred to compare our kymco to. They are so similar in the chasis I am thinking I can use those arms on my sons mongoose.

That's it. You will need to get some different wheel nuts because of the different thread pitch. I used some Yamaha ones becuse they are flat on the one side unlike the Honda

Rath is making a set of Duals for the Mongoose. Just give Daryl or Jen a call, Rath Racing (http://www.rathracing.com), and see how far along they are. If I remember right, I thought the TRX 90 ones were coming out next then the ones for the Mongoose.

Sorry about that. You will be more then pleased with the outcome. Plus, Daryl and Jen at Rath Racing are the best.

Ahhh yes, Thanks for finally dragging the machines up to the Barn for us to see. The Pred is just killer lookin' (it is actually my favorite between the two).

Lots of guys talking bout the boys rides behind the Parts Counter after you left last night. Gregg was shocked that the trailer is yours as well.

Keep up the good work Eric.

Those arms look like they might bolt up to a Eton frame. How long are the shocks?

400ex4ever
02-25-2006, 08:35 AM
They are the standard length shocks for the Predator. I want to say 9" or 10". And as for them bolting up to an Eton. I know the bottom arms will bolts up becuase I sold my plus 3's to my friend and he has an Eton. As for the top arm and the brackets. You might have to do some modification to the front nose/light bracket. I am pretty sure is is way to low for the upper brackets to bolt up.
