Ok...my girlfriend just got bought an acura TSX with navigation. I want to get the windows tinted for her but i have heard that you need a special tint since it has navigation? Anyone know if there is any truth behind this? Or are they just trying to charge more?

I can't see why nav. would require special tint.

what kind of navigation doe sshe have? GPS? if so then no they are trying to srew you. I know my radar detector wouldnt work with the window tint i had

IDK about that. I have a Streetpilot GPS in my truck. I can be sitting in my garage parked with no view of the sky and it will still get a signal. I highly doubt window tint will interfere more than that.

Try to find out where the antennae is for the GPS. Some vehicles actually have a thin wire antennae integrated right into the glass or the windshield. If it has that, then that could be why they say you need special tint.
