I'm going to pick up a new 06 450...

I've been doing some reading and from what i'm seeing... i think i'm going to stick to the kick start.

What are your opinions?

i had a estart 400ex and i had some electrical problems with it and I hated the battery kinda after a once i awhile. I love my kick, starts first or second kick everytime and less thigns to break

Get the kickstart. Its more reliable, and it will save you a few pounds. Unless you ride hardcore trails, then get the e-start because its easier.

If it was a proven reliable E start, I would get it.

But I know some people that have had probs with them, so I would go for the kick.

Would also save some $$$.

i have the E start and no problems. The 400 ex has had it for years i dont think Honda would put it on there best race quad if reliability was an issue. And that was why the Yamaha riders did better on the track than the Honda guys.A little spill and we d be kicking and they d hit the button and go!!!!!

well, honda actually did better on the track IMO because John Natalie won the championship. there was just more yfz's out on the track than hondas.

lets stick to the topic please...

i read about people having problems with the e start.. i guess the real question is.. what percentage of people with the E start have experienced problems..
