I have a WB e-series slip on and I have heard a lot of people that run them have the rivets pop out cause the muffler to be disconnected from the pipe. Or the rust getting so bad the pipe and muffler will just seperate. Well there is rust all around where the pipe meets the muffler...I have had the pipe for almost two years. Should I save myself from it popping off during a ride and get myself a new pipe or should i not worry about it. If you guys want pictures I can post em if ya want.

Later

Thanks

Im thinking about getting another pipe cause I dont feel like replacing the rivets when it can happen again or will happen. About a year ago I saw at my local shop a 400ex that had the WB pipe just seperate from the muffler. What should I do? Im thinking about getting another pipe.

its not worth buying a new pipe all you need his a couple of rivets and you dont have to dishout more money for a new pipe

Well they must have changed the pipe because my e-series is 2 years old and is still solid and no rust.

of what Ive read and heard, thats about the only problem that the w-bros s-series has,but i would say just fix it,it would be a lot cheaper to do that instead of getting a new pipe and could ya post those pics if you could

if its still in good shape id repair it, unless i had money to waste on another slip-on..

overheating can cause the materials to stress, but id venture to guess that many people with e-series problems are from poor maintenance or theyve done physical damage via rollovers etc.

after almost 4yrs, mine is solid as a rock and it looks great.. (although its getting too loud for my preference)

Mine is coming apart after a year of rec riding and 1yr racing (9 races). the front mount also broke off and WB is not standing behind the product and will not send me a replacement bracket.
