View Full Version : cutting sprring in throttle?

i've heard of people cutting the spring in their throttle assembly or carb... i race hare scrambles and GNCCs so i want to get it a little less stiff so its not so diffacult to push 2 hours into a race...
suggestions or help please

i did it on my blaster and it really helped. i cut off 2 of the coils on the slide and put it back together. just make sure the throttle returns well before you ride

Do not cut the spring. You can either relocate the spring to a different spot on the arm, or buy the $20 one off EBay like I did. I love it.

I bought the ebay spring and a used honda throttle, really smooth now.
