Powerbomb header and HMF sports series slip on! best combo for low and midrange! go to www.motosport.com ! best deals you will find on pipes! free shipping over $100!!! talk to trx23rider about this combo, he runs it on his quad! very good performance and the price wont kill your wallet too bad! the only bad thing i could think of is that the pipe is a tad bit loud!

Good choice. I couldn't be happier with my HMF. Good quality, good power, and good sound. What more do you want?:)

you might foul plugs, youll loose some power (untill you rejet), bike wont stay idled, bike wont start

just dont ride with a new pipe without rejetting

Sparks full system, I have a FMF Hi-Flo header and Big Gun Slip on and love it! Some of the best performaning pipe systems that i have seen have been either the Hi-flo FMF or the Power Bomb with a really good Slip on either White Bros., Sparks, Big Gun, HMF, Not a real big fan but prolly Yoshi. Not sure who else makes headers for slip ons but i have noticed on several bikes that i have jetted and worked on that the mix it combos where better than buying full systems. The best full system i have noticed was sparks. by FARRRR.

someone told me HMF sport series with HMF header works the best, does fmf would better?

Definatly re-jet after any mods that would restrict or "open up" the air flow. Lrd is a good pipe to.

check out ct racing also for another comparison it's similar to the hmf sport in power a little more low end torque everything else is power wise is pretty much the same between them

I dont think you would foul plugs unless the pipe you bought restricted more flow than the stock one. But you could run to lean and the drivability wouldnt be as good as stock. The reason you jet is to comprimise for the flow of the pipe. Without the jet you dont really gain anything you actually lose power.

Dr. D is the best that I have found for a reasonably priced slip-on. Great sound, not too loud, and good performance gains.

You will probably only need to rejet if you put a filter on it too. Otherwise, see how it runs. Sometimes you don't.

Check out the huge thread at the top of the 400EX forum- all about best pipe for a 400, hundreds of replies.

if u dont half to rejet a bike with a pipe then the pipe is not worth a crap the more gas and air the more power. if u stay the same jetting then u will stay the same power

You definetly want to rejet after installation. I got the fmf powerbomb with the fmf powercore 4 and love it.

The HMF sport series full system is a great pipe. Curtis Sparks also makes a great full system. Those are probably the two most popular systems on here. I don't know how people on here can say how great slipons with different headers are because slipons are made with the same diameter tubing as the stock header and if you get a headpipe for the slipon it is gonna have to be the same diameter as the slipon and stock header to fit, just be a little less restrictive. I tried to mate my silencer off my full system to my stock header and it absolutely swallowed the stock header. mateing a slipon to a powerbomb just cant compete with a designed full system, I dont care what anyone says. And if you dont rejet it wont run and if for some reason it does you could easily burn a hole in the top of the piston from running lean.

One of my riding buddies is going to get a yoshie for his 06 450r, and he's not goin to rejet, he said its fast enough already, i said anytime you mess with any kind of airflow, exhaust flow you need to rejet. he's like no ya don't. and to find out all my buddies that have a pipe said they didn't rejet. i was tryin to tell them it will run lean or rich or something.

It will run lean (too much air) and start to melt the engine. Just laugh as you ride past them and they have a hole in their pistons.:o
