I'm totally sick of flips and tiny flip variations but when it's a sick looking variation like that or a ssg flip then theyre amazing.

The backflip was a major plateau that has now become common. Not much different than many other stunts over history.

Now the top riders are incorporating other moves within the backflip, quite impressive IMO.

I'll second that... Pastrana's at the X-games was by far the best, but after that it is old... I like whips more than flips now!!!!

The first time you saw it may have been the best but once you realize what it took to get to the first time you may have a bit more respect, JMO of course ;)

come on now, dont bust on pastrana, i dont know why everyone busts on him. he seems like a really cool guy, ive never seen him say anything negative about anyone and he's always got a positive cheerful attitude on tv. I love watchin him do freestyle, he's insane.
Just because he doesnt run around tryin to act like a badazz tuff guy like Deegan, doesnt mean you have to hate him.

ya, i do got respect for everyone on that note, but who can't learn something like that with the amount of time they spend in foam pits and the countless years they've been riding... I just think that the backflips are taking over the roots of FMX...:grr:

flips may be old news, but that cordova backflip is amazing to me.

speaking of the backflip being old, does anyone ever watch carey hart's tattoo show? its pretty cool.

Mad and Travis got the rotation down perfect on their first attempts on a quad into a foam pit... they've also been flipping bikes for about 3 years now, but then again it took derek 15 times to make the rotation on a quad and his first attempt on a bike made it all the way around. Derek doesnt even ride dirt bikes :blah:
