Pics of Shee that i could trade for (he might even throw in some cash). http://www.imagestation.com/album/pictures.html?id=2125926561

I have a 400ex with a hotcam stage 1 a K&N air filter roll design steering stem +1 anti vibe. That shee is rebuilt to like a 380 or somehting has stage 4 carbs (name brand but i cant remember the name lol) toomey t5 exhaust and its in immaculate condition. My 400 has a cracked subframe (easy repair which will probably be done before trade anyways) rust and the welds on the frame and it's got probably 30 hours on it. The shee has about 1-2 hours on it since he rebuilt it. I'm used to 4 strokes so it will take getting used to. But what do you guys think? Oh and the 400ex has ITP Holeshot XCR's on Douglas aluminum. Note the J-Arms on the shee.

I wouldnt!! Pretty even trade but if your used to 4strokes i think that you would be dissapointed! Even though that banshee would smoke your 400 as it sits now. this year as the banshee gets set aside its gonna be hard to find new parts and upgrades for besides like pistons and stuff which will always be available. there has to be a reason why he wants to trade!!

It up to you but I wouldn't do it unless you just want something to tinker with and drag race.Your ex is a lot better mx/trail quad
and if it has j-arms it must be a 1987 unless someone was crazy
enough to go from a-arms to j-arms.
Just my opinion.

What year is it? There has got to be some reason he wants to trade you.

I'm pretty sure that by law, a manufacturer has to provide high wear parts for 9 years after a model is produced. So getting parts shouldn't be a problem until about 2015.

getting parts for a banshee will never be a problem, there is so many aftermarket and o.e.m sources out there its insane, like rich said, till 2015 maybe even longer it will be fine

Well since no one thinks i should do the trade AND I was already leaning toward not trading I think i will keep the 400. It needs lots of work but I think it will be worth it when its done.

it also depends on ur type of riding, do you like drags and dunes, then the banshee is the way to go, if you like trails and mx and stuff then the 400ex would stay. banshees are not too great on MX or trails.

Yeah I do alot of trail riding and such. I'm pretty comfy with the 4 strokes so I think I'll hang onto the 400 for now. Hopefully get something with a little more power this summer. (450r if i can afford it)
