Hey Pappy!! I have seen where you can have propeg mounts welded onto the frame Can you explain how this is done? I may be interested in seeing if I can have someone local do it for me if it is a good Idea on my 400ex. Thanks

basically you do away with the mount at the footpeg and the cross bar mount in the front. we use chromoly and weld them in place making it a solid mount set up. its not that hard, and anyone can do it if they can weld.

DO you have any pictures with this done just so that I can get a look at it. Maybe see what wall thickness I should use on the tubing. Thanks.

no i sure dont, we do not get much call for this anymore. id measure the thickness of an existing nerf mount and go from there. i know on a few of the yfz's we have had to cut a hole in the main up tube so that we could get a higher degree of strength for the rear mount. if i get a chance i will try and get you afew pics

Well I will see what Can do. The reason I am wanting to do this is to see if I can get a little lower peg out of it. I have AC propegs with the heal guard and am trying to find a way to get the peg a little lower. I am pretty tall so If I could lower the peg a little I would be much happier.

I have not done that yet but I have heard that it ends up hanging below the frame which could be bad incase I case it or something putting stress on the frame. I guess I just need to try it out and see what happens.

Ok Now I have a couple more questions.
I am going to PC my frame here soon and was wondering Where you buy your powder from. The colors I am looking for are Coca-cola red (baron red?) Same thing? Mirror Black, Stealth black.
I have looked at columbia coatings and Eastwood and cant seem to find exactly what I am looking for.
Also. I am looking into some differnt guns. I am really interested in the Hot Coat gun from Eastwood. It seems to be a good gun. What is your opinion on guns.
Sorry for so many questions. I am just trying to get into pcing. It seems like a fun thing to do!!
Thanks:macho
