I have a question, prety basic.

What oil is thicker and what is thinner.

Thicker oil used for summer and thinner oil used for winter.

10w-30
10w-40

Oils like this, can someone make a graph or something stateing the thickness of the oils, possible having 3 catogorys. Thick, mild, Thin. Then rank the oils into subcatagories. Maybee this could be a sticky!

the 10w-30 is less. For really cold weather you really want the first # to be lower, as well as the second #. like 0w-20 for instance.

But you don't want the oil to be too thin, thats why 10w-40 is the most common and recommended oil for all bikes from any manufacturer.

0w-40

10w-40

20w-50

are the most common oils used in ATV's and the only oils I would use in any types of weather.
