I am building up my CRF450EX hybrid and need to know if the kicker will clear the plastic when I go to start the quad. I know the CRF kicker hits and was told to use a YZ426 kicker. I have the kickers setting next to eachother and it looks like they are the same length. Is there anything I can do so I dont have to cut my 400ex plastic or having to swtich to 250R. Just bought this Maier plastic and dont want to cut it in anyway or replace it.

Thanks

Cut and shorten the kicker.

ss440ex does that kicker not make it hard to start being that short?

I believe it was either the YZ125 or YZ250 kickstart lever that you can get that will clear the plastics.

Alright I just found out I bought the wrong YZ kicker...I need a 125 or 250 yz kick.

The only way they fit is if you buy the CR extention that converts to YZ

Thanks

I would cut and shorten the kick but I dont know anyone that knows how to weld aluminum very well around here

Are there any shops around you? There should be someplace nearby that has a TIG welder and would be able to do what you need done. If you live in a smaller town try finding a bigger one and ask around at the shops, make sure to bring in the lever to show them what you need done.

I have a decomp cam.
The shorten kicker spins the engine over faster.

I will prolly go with the YZ250 kicker...In the end it would cost me the same as to have someone weld it. I have a tig welder but im terrible with aluminum.
