yes you will have to change the jets. ask your friend what his jetting is right now. It will be the same. You will probably just have to change the main jet.

I have the fmf megamax and i got the fmf jet kit. that is best way to do the jetting. use a 112 main jet and the 180 needle and clip in the kit. then go to a honda dealer and get a 42 pilot jet. thats what i have in mine and it runs great!

do u run ur 250 with the spark arrester on or off? i heard that leaving it on overheats the engine. is that true?

well, i have the stock exhaust and the spark arrester doesnt take away any power with it in, and doesnt add any power if you take it out, just makes it louder

just recently i took the spark arrestor off of my stock exhaust. i rode it to my friends house and his dad said that taking it off without changing the jetting is bad for the engine because it lets cold air in when u let off the gas. i thought in my head that what he said cant be true because the as soon as the exhaust is out of the cylinder the exhaust valve closes. is that true it can hurt ur engine?

if I were you i would just leave it in, all it does is annoy people.
