my rear fenders flap like crazy whenever i ride. does anyone else have this problem and what do you do to fix it. i was thinking about making a bracket or something. also if i were to get laker plastics could i get just the rear and would it work with the stock front? i dont want to spend the money on new plastics but i also dont want to just cut my fenders off.

yeah mine have been flapping quite a bit since i got it so i tried to shave them a little to stop the flapping but it didnt do much in fact it probably made it worse.

mabey do a search to see if the Laker rears will fit with stock fronts:confused:

you could go to Ace Hardware and get buy some brackets and bolts and try to make your own brackets!

I havent YET but I have the same problem you do. But it's no doubt in my mind that I will fabricate one in the near future. I'll post up pics when I do though.

well you got a 05 you must be doing a bunch of mud riding then jumping... which would cause them to get weaker cuz the extra weight or someone is sitting on them imo cuz i dunno my 05's are fine and i use to ride a-lot!

Heres a cheap way to fix this.

go to home depot or a hardware store and buy about two feet of 1/2" (I think 16 gauge) steel pipe. cut a piece roughly long enough to go from your heelgaurd mount on your subframe to a spot of your choice on your fender where you will drill a hole. I went about a half inch from the bottom of the fender, centered.
Crimp the end of the steel flat with a vice about an inch and then bend the angle you need to fit it against the heelgaurd mount. Cut pipe to exact length and crimp the other end in a vice. Take your time and measure twice, cut once. Drill holes in braket, paint and install with 10mm bolts. Just a simple cheap way to fix the problem (without a welder). peace.
