Hows it look?

Well I did it I went and put a hood on it. lights and rims also.

Its a maier smoothy. If you look in front of the bar pad inback of the lights I made a bracket for them.I didn't want to hide them and wire tie them like I hear other guys do. Sounds a little getto to me if you know what I mean.

You have to cut the headlight bezel off to mount the hood. So yes I did cut the plastic.

I just bought a set of lights at pepboys 35W. I think I'm going to buy the frame mounts from Trailtech and mount them on the frame in front of the shocks. I've been stareing at it and I still don't think I like the lights.

fits perfect I took my time and shaved little by little on the bezel,
the only fit i don't like is the top two mount tabs on the hood they wont bend to form the body and the front of the tank is right under them. thats why I used the two midway holes .I might just trim the top tabs off the hood.

I need to mess with mine some more, I bowed out my plastics on the sides where the black side panels attach.....I did the drilling while they were off of the quad, so it did not line up too good....

my opinion, i dont really care for the flat hood, I like the quad techs or something like them with a scoop on it. I do like the light though.

i like the flat hood.. but why did you do that do get ride of the head lights then put more on? i would shave thoose front fenders tooo! but it looks nice and pretty like though...

No just something different , I got tired of riding around here and seeing the same red 400 everywhere. I think the Quadtech hoods make it look like a pig. They look good on the 250r's because they are flater on the hood.
Plus, a hundred dollars for a hood, come on, I can piss money away with the best of them but that is plain stupid.

I like the hood because it's something different, and you do make a good point about the same red 400s everywhere, but i don't really like the lights although i am curious to see what they would look like on the frame, that sounds like a good plan....nice job

thats a nice ex, if i were to change it i would hide the lights so that they were unseen. but when you turn on your headlights they act as if they stole the suns light. otherwise that is a nice setup.

They are Pure Sport Bandit XC's Kevlar belted. They dig like crazy, but not in this damn snow we got.

I hate to be a ripoff but I saw a 250r with the lights mounted down there it looked nice. If I find that pic again I'll post it.
