I am putting together my 440 using an 89mm Wiseco 11:1 piston. After having the cylinder decked, we installed the piston and jug (using the standard paper base gasket). I then checked the TDC piston position. It appears to come approx 0.020 of an inch above the top of the sleeve (before the head gasket is applied). The head gasket is approx 0.050 thick.
Question is, what should the TDC position of the cylinder be? How much above or below the top of the sleeve should it be?
