ive used that and inventor, they are both fairly easy to get the hang of, if you ever need any help on how to do something though, the help button has video tutorials for every feature and button in the interface

Hey, would it be possible to design tracks like that and then throw them in ATV vs. MX on the comp?

Autodesk is the company that owns Autocad.

I have over 20 years cad experience and rate acad as the worst.

What would be the best in your opinion as the most user friendly and versatile?

i have only about 5 years experience, and most of that was on autocad. i dont think i ever really gave autodesk a chance. but ever since i graduated i havnt used a cad program. and its really what i like, so i might pick up a decent program. any suggestions?

I'm a SolidWorks(SolidQwerks:devil: ) guy myself, AutoCad for 2D.
Been at it just under 11yrs (5yrs SW, 11yrs. Acad, 1yr Microstation). I found SolidWorks very easy to learn. From what I understand much easier to learn than the other mid-range 3d packages, but I'd still say 2 years to really be a master.

The problem is, once you get trained or good at one it's hard to change.

All Cad systems basically do the same thing, but in a different sequence.

If your wanting to play around & learn Acad is fine.

If your wanting a career at it, you'll make good money using SDRC Ideas, Pro Engineer, Catia.

Good advice Popo. I'd learn multiple cad programs if I were just starting. SolidWorks is the #1 3d program used in the world,
Pro-E is #2 I believe. Learning these two will get you into some good jobs. You'll always want to know Acad also, #1 in 2d.
