Is anyone out there rebuilding rear calipers? Thanks

I rebuilt my own....just ordered the oem parts needed.

There isn't much to it in my opinion. Let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll try and help.

They should come up with a kit, so you can just order it..... So you get everthing.....

Yeah I hear ya on that one! There could be a kit out there, but I have never found it. It's not real cheap to buy the parts seperate either.

I have also recently rebuilt my rear caliper, and like CT_330R said it wasn't that difficult. You just have to figure out everything that you need to order, and the parts definitely are not cheap!

I circled what parts would rebuild your caliper. I would say it costs around $50-$80 depending where you get them and if you have anybody that can get you discounts on parts. Service Honda are the best prices I see on the internet. If you were going to rebuild your caliper I would buy all new rubber boots and grommets if yours aren't in good shape. I feel like if you are going to rebuild something you might as well do it right.

What I did was took my caliper completely apart. To clean it up better I sand blasted the outside of the main body. You want to make sure you put the pistons back in the cavities so that area does not get blasted. The inside needs to stay smooth. I plugged the other holes so that sand could not get down in it. I still cleaned it up inside and out even after I blasted it. I liked the look after it was blasted so I just left it and sprayed on some clear coat to help protect the outside better. I'll attach a pic of what my caliper looks like after it was blasted and clear coated.
