NEW stock ltz 400! a lil help?

i just bought a used 2004 ltz 400. it is completly stock.
i was wondering what you guys thought the 1st thing i should do to increse its power without going out of the stock class because i plan on racing it. anything you could sugest would be helpfull!

The first thing you need to do is get an aftermarket exhaust.

i cant race in the stock clases...
i want to stay in the stock class

what is the definition of the "stock"class that you are looking at?can you get into the motor or suspension. if you can't mod it how about wheel spacers to make it a little wider for "motocross" if thats aloud

get a air filter it wont make a huge diffrence but aleast it will breath better
