On friday I went to New York and ended up buying 400exjoe's 440ex, it seemed to run good when i rode it there, but when i got it back home i realized it has some carb problems

I was able to narrow it down to this because I cleaned the air filter and outerwear, filled the gas tank up, changed the oil, and cleaned the carb out

It'll start up right away, but it sputters whenever the engine is running. it cant keep a steady idle even on its own with the idle screw in all the way. half the time it'll stall on its own, it'll go from idling ok with it sputtering and then it'll idle real slow and then it dies. when its moving it'll sputter and it'll act like its not getting either enough fuel or enough air

When i had the carb apart on the main jet it said 160, i didnt check the pilot jet or the needle position, is that to low for a 440 with a 10.5 or 10.8:1 piston?

Any help is welcome

oh yeah and the chokes not on and the gas is on

I havent ran it with the choke on but maybe i will just to see what happens
