I shaved the sides and the front of the airbox to increase the volume of air that is able to get in. I wanted some protection from water and didnt want to run an open airfilter/ airbox elimination kit. The rear of the box is stock height, and the front is shaved to the bottom of the snorkle rubber boot opening. With the seat off when we DYno'd i was making 24.5 ft/lb and 30.2 horse at the rear wheel. I had a VERY flat curve varying only 1 ft/lb over the entire torque range. That was without modding the box itself. now that I modded the airbox I got the same numbers. For those of you who are K&N fans, I had one. I ride in dusty conditions. INstead of buying a prefilter I bought a Uni filter. I oiled it and dropped it in for the dyno runs to see exactly how much of a difference there was. Being new to oiling filters i accidently OVER oiled it. Even over oiled i pulled the same numbers with the UNI as i did without a filter. That is right .... no intake restriction. I would recomend a Uni to anyone out there just by seeing that fact on the dyno chart alone.

Thursday I ordered Skids, a Mooseracing Thumb throttle, and an ASV clutch lever to go with my LSR brake block off.

Parts are in, but i had to work VERY late tonight. I got home around 12:30 pm. I picked up my stuff at lunch today.

I had been told that the Pro armor Skids were the best due to welds and thickness. I'm impressed. The welds look great and the thing is THICK!

My thumb throttle looks like its a bit longer and the mounting is closer to the grip I think that it will be MUCH better than the stock throttle.

Thanks to the ASV lever i will be able to clean up my left handelbar enough to remount my teather where i want it.

I will post pics tomorrow.

Beautiful quad man! I have a moose full skid and a-arms and not a complaint about them, but i heard pro armors are one off the best to go with. I think you will be satisfied. Also i was wondering if you had any problems installing your nerfs? I had a problem with the collars that go between the motors mounts. I had to take off about 1/8 off each.

Nope didnt have any problems. Only thing was the oil line, that bar under it makes me nervous to this day.
