another hotcams thread help!!!

I am a woods rider and am installing a 11:1 wiseco plus.040 and have narrowed down cam selection to either stage 1 or stage 2 Hotcams.My question is
HOT CAMS STAGE 2 .346 .346 254 254 SR Is this the better cam for woods because the lift is lower?? Or
HOT CAMS STAGE 1 .354 .354 244 244 SR Is this the top end cam?Because the lift is higher
I thought that stage 1 was lowend and 2 was high rpm use.
Please clarify as I understand alot of people REALLY like these cams.I need one!! Help?????? Are these good cams for woods use? I noticed some cams lift is in the 380 range which is huge.

contact hot cams but i think stage 2 would be better for highcomp piston and stage 1 for stock comp piston. also get a set of tc racing studs for the cylinder so you dont blow head gaskets.

the stage 1 is a low end cam, there is more a cam and the powerband than just the lift. the stage 1 is not for big bores, works better with smaller motors. the stage 2 is better for larger bores, more modified motors.

[04'400ex'er]

the stage II has a huge midrange hit. there is a certain lack of bottom end at certain RPM's but hell what 400ex has ever lacked bottom end to start with. stg 2 is a midrange cam that comes on similar to a 2 stroke with a hart top end pull. it will work fine in the woods if you hual balls. get the stage 2. many places sell it for $124 and you cant beat the power of it for that price on the 400ex.

I putt around some-not alot but some-will a stage 2 work ok in my 416? Or do I need to keep the rev's up? I usually ride trails fast and do some coal hill climbing! But like I said, I putt around some (Sight Seeing) and just need to know if it will be ok!

yeah... because the only HRC cam for a 400 I see is for the XR400 (dirtbike), yeah I know same engine. But just wanting to know if this is the cam u guys are using in your 400ex's that say run an HRC cam ????
