400ex vs. scrambler 500

i got a 2004 400ex and my uncles wantin to race his scrambler 500 against it. he has a dg excellerator stage 3 or some mess like that. im puttin a wb e-series on mine with dynojet kit . that thing cant take corners worth a flip. any chance i could beat him??

in the trials HELL yea but in a drag yall will be heads up im preety sure

i think drags he will lose you, unless you have alot of mods, the trails you will beat him cause his is alot of a bigger quad

Man I have dragged 2 new(looked new anyways) 500s and smoked them. Got em' at the tree and far end. They weren't inexpirianced drivers either. Considering all of our quads are "engine stock" and stock tires.

yea i was mostly wonderin on drag i dont have any motor mods yet but i am plannin on gettin a 426 or 440 bore kit

U can smoke him, first u gotta attach a defogger near ur pipe then u simple smoke him till he can't see , which in return he has to slow down...... 400ex is an excellent all around bike but its not a racer

my bro-in-law has one with some mods and I smoke check him no matter what the distance is or what kinda of course we are on. He is a great rider but a scrambler cant hang. If you are getting beat by a scrambler, it is either tricked out with a great rider and your 400 is trash or you just plain need riding lessons. sorry to be so harsh but so times the truth hurts.

na man i can ride i was just wonderin cause everyone in my family thinks his fourwheeler is a bada** when in reality i know i can beat him just wanted to know what everyone else thought!

the auto tranny on the scrammy will hold him back...if you can run the gears, you have him easily...

in a drag race u will get on on the bottom end when u start to hit 3 or 4th he will be cought up and when u are toped out he will have u by atleast 1-2 quad lenths but if it is a short race u should beat him mabey

yea i was thinkin to that his tranny would hold him back and i could get him off the line oh well.........i think ill go race him now ill tell yall how it goes!!!!!!!

I would have to say thats a little false but anyways I have beat a Scrambler 500 2 times within 10 minutes or so lining up down straight pavement.I would have to say it what quite close though.I think then I was running all stock but a full DG exhaust,the wrong jetting and a k&N filter.If I was jetted correct(not backfiring)I might have won by a little more.

i have a 400ex with a k&N wb e siers pipe with no jetting and i raced a 660 grizzley and a scambler 500 and i smoked them both the 500 has no chance

I've whipped scramblers before, 400s and 500's. The only thing a ex will lose to a scrambler is a breakfast cook-off. Ha Ha get it, egg scrambler!

make sure you pick a good area for 2wd. Hate to see you race on a clay field while its raining. He might throw it in 4wd and blow you off the line;) You know how uncles can be! Always hatching evil plots;)

You will smoke him I have raced both scramblers on my 400 and killed them both. I dont even think the 400 or the 500 go over 60.
