And how do you know this? Let me guess, you've added up all his pay checks, his contingency and endorsement money plus his money from winning races and it equaled 1 Million dollars? Wow, you're really on the ball!

KWAD GAWD
02-09-2006, 08:43 PM
Sorry, guys. None of these pros are making anywhere near a million dollars a year racing quads. Maybe $200-$400 thousand would be much more reasonable guess.

i'd say 100,000-120,000..

pro's dont make near as much as you think... nothin like the 2-wheeler guys... my friend Jackie Meadows said he was makeing near 100,000 a year when he was a pro at 15 years old and he said they dont make near as much now as he did then... he's 35 now

02-09-2006, 08:57 PM
Ballance made around $200,000 and he is a 6 time champ, thats not including all his expenses etc being paid for

I would have to guess Natalie made around $300,000, being he races multiple series and has won multiple series

either way both of them are good guys who put the effort in to make that much money, they deserve it

It's not about being uptight, it's about being for real. You really think the're making BILLIONS of dollars racing ATVs? Dude, I'm just HELPING this thread out... giving it a bit of direction.

He makes enough that he still has to work at his parents recycle plant during the off season. Carmichael made atleast 12 million last year. $250,000 just to wear Berik boots.

The Quad Guys are gettin the Shaft!!!!!

Let me bend over, here ya go, insert it right here........yea that's the right place.......feel's so damn good!!!

You can't honestly tell me that the ATV scene is smaller than the bike scene, When we go out riding, I will see maybe 10 bikes for every 100 Quads.

We need to be able to attract big time sponsers, such as Mountain Dew, Red Bull, Dunlop.........then maybe, just maybe we will see the big pay checks.

i think its mainly because bikes have been around much longer and are more well known, and have had a chance to grow and become popular.

:chinese: go around and ask some random joe who RC is, or mcgrath....they might not have ever even watched a super cross race, or a bike national...but they have heard of the name. Ask that same person who natalie is, gust, ballance...they wont have a clue what your talking about.

go to a super cross race, the arena is practicaly sold out...I dont recall having that much attendence at redbud when i was there...

yes, bikes are more popular that quads, we are catching up..but it will be a few years atleast.

we are heading in the right direction....in 5-10 years if things keep going this way....we will hopefully be =

monster energy drinks does have sponsorship for quads...not sure why nobody runs it?

about money, hes probably making around 75-100k just from honda...so about 200-400 sounds right to me...with espn picking coverage up and just the small stuff...like jon on discovery channel....little by little quads are getting more coverage....its only a matter of time til we explode

ohh yeah and Jon really got people to notice the quad world just that much more by doing a backflip on a quad I think that deffinately made a difference

he makes anywhere from 130,000 to 200,000 dollars a year. all the expensive things like travel and things like that are paid for. they dont make as much as you think.

The biggest thing that people always forget when it comes to bikes being more popular than quads and the money spent on the bikes VS. the money spent on quads is this..... The bike world did not go through the blackhole of death that the quad world went through over the last 15+ years. Do people forget that it wasn't even 5 years ago that racing quads was considered just as bad as robbing a bank to the main stream media? This is gonna take a while and we need to be patient. We now have 1 full on factory team and support from the other factories like never before with more coming. This is our rebirth so to speak and it's going to be painful and exciting. We have one advantage over the bikes and that's when we went through the "Dark" times we had all the aftermarkets keep it breathing. I've always been taught to not look at what other people have but to look at why I have and I say "F" those guys, they better watch out cause here we come. We're just as fast (proven at Unadilla last season) And we look alot better doing it.

your wrong... his mom and dad told him to go follow his dreams he's in the south in the off season. I talked to his mom around thanksgiving time and i told her i wanted to bring my new baby out to see him and she said good luck he's leaving the day after thanksgiving and i wont see him again until xmas then who knows when again. they really dont say a whole lot about how much he's making but he has a brand new vet sittin up at his house. and i heard he got 150,000 just for one race... i think that was after he got paid for everything... dotn hold me to it b/c it came from my dad and you know how parents are...lol.

I would say its in 000,000 thousands somewhere under 1million...but if MX quads could get a good indoor series going like the THQ AMP'D mobile bike series like RC and Bubba run on the bikes. Along with the GNC oudoors we already have..then all the top quad guys would start to see those 7 digit paydays :macho

yup, well just the shicane around the apple tree was cut off for quads because its kinda tight...but that would of easily added significant time to the quad guys lap times... i think they did it so they could claim the pro quad guys were posting the same laptimes....
