Fly wheel Mass/inertia

Has any body changed thier fly wheel or shaved off a few ounces?

I know that putting a heavy fly wheel on creates smoother power but dosent let the engine spin the tires as much.

300ex big fly wheel, blaster small

you see a few people do it either way. on 400ex many will lighten it to make it rev faster, while people with 450r's will add weight to combat stalling and give it better hookup in XC racing.

where can u get a 400ex lightened flywheel

the best thing to do if you want to lighten them it to just bring your stock fly wheel to a local machine shop and have them machine the wieght off for you.
