4 stroke question

on a 4 stroke, how does the oil coat the cylinder wall?

is it agitated and thrown upward by the crank? or is there a sprayer or pump inside that send the oil that way?

most have misters some where on the top of the bottom end, and they just shoot it up to the piston. and evry crank rod and wridt pins have like 1 or 2 holes in them to allow oil o move around up there
