Check the 250r's for sale on here that might give you an idea on the going rate. It looks like a real nice r with some good parts. Hope this helps.

I would say 3500 to 4000 maybe less depending on the quality of the welding job

i would say for an aftermarket framed r should pull at least 4500 minimum.but as you can see everybody and thier mother wants a 4 stroke!
if its a narrow frame the bottom frame rails(where the a-arms mount)are nearly touching eachother(supposed to have less bumpsteer,i believe is better for ground clearance and travel also)you wouldn't be able to tell the difference unless you rode a narrow frame.i have no idea what years they started and stop makin em?ask Beerock on here he knows everthing bout 250r's!
as for price i got a narrow framed full leager r on here for sale for 6000 with a powervalve motor and nobody has come up with any money for it.
you can kinda see in the pic how narrow the bottom of the frame is.Good luck, how much is the guy asking??

well I guess it depends on what you are looking to do with that quad , If you want to pretty much only mx then yes , trails your gonna havta set it up for that . I would really look at the job of the welding , welds dont stand up to hard jumping that well or for that long. The frame may be aftermarket , but its not better than stock if its got a crack in it .

i will be riding my first year of MX on it locally

I would go for it. It looks like a really nice R, and for 4 grand, it's going to be hard to beat that. Just keep an eye on that one weld, it shouldn't give you any trouble, but if it cracks again, it's an easy fix.

any (or should i say most)aftermarket frames are made of chromoly not mild steel like the rest of the stock frames out there,so an aftermarket frame is A LOT stronger than a stocker, and alot stiffer giving the bike bike a better ride and feel!

Bad01300EX,

What make the frame "thin" is the width of the lower and upper frame A-arm mounts. On the Laeger frames it is narrower than a stock 250R frame allowing for longer arms with more travel and still meet your maximum width requirements of MX racing (I believe its 50" max, but don't quote me on that. Also, You might want a pipe with more bottom than that FMF H-49 pipe thats on it, that is really a TT/flattrack racing pipe that will bog out in a whoop section and also doesn't pull real hard (No hit) which is bad for mx but great for a slick TT track. I recommend something like a CT National or LRD Paul turner "Race" pipe for MX instead.

Concise,

The bad thing about a round tube aftermarket frame is that they aren't as stiff as a square tube stocker, although lighter, they flex more and don't handle quite as well (cornering). The chromoly is stronger than mild steel, but in bending as the dominate mode of failure, the shape factor correction of square tubing as actually stronger (bending not torsion) than round tubing.

A little trick that has been passed onto me by Rich Hetrick " hetrick racing " ( joel hetrick exct ) The only problem with that fmf is it doesnt pull all that hard , cutting the silencer and repacking it will really make it pull . I am having it done to mine right now , I was going to buy an LRD but Rich told me there was no need for it.

the 1st bike was nice but that second one is crazy, has all axis suspension, the second bike is a better buy, and its only 1000 more then the other one, and it has much better parts on it
