I had an idea, you know how cars have superchargers, or turbo chargers. Dont they force air into the carburator?

Would it be possible to have like a fan hooked up to the airbox, to force more air in?

Yes, they force feed air directly down the intake hence the term forced induction. The fan idea has no chance of producing any significant power increases because it just moves a small amount of air. Where with superchargers and turbos, the actual unit compresses the air charge ( x psi of boost) and blows that down the throat of the motor. That compressed air is much more dense, and when coupled with the proper amount of fuel to match, that's where you see your power increases.
