Yes, I practiced today and it was very cold out. My dad is walking teaching me how to post pictures so I can help do race threads this year.

This is when I was almost done riding for the day, it was just bitter outside.

My dad did not like being out in the cold, but he is always there watching me incase I get hurt.

He has to wear a helmet when ever he rides any quad so he just left it on. I think maybe one of the roosters pecked at him.

cody y werent u wearin any goggles

Codeman
02-09-2006, 01:22 PM
I have trouble seeing with googles. If I am just practicing and the conditions are right I do not wear them unless dad yells at me, but I try to wear them always when racing or when riding with other people. Thats about it.

I forgot to post a picture of me wearing googles. This is from the Stomp GNCC race this summer.

Codeman

There are alot of riders that do not wear googles even during a race. I start with a set and sometimes can stop for a change out if I have time.
Here is a picture from the front row of my class at a GNCC race, I can see 3 riders with no goggles.

Cody,
If I was you I would wear goggles while practicing that way you will become used to them and they will feel natural when you are racing. The more comfortable you are racing the better. But you probley wouldn't need goggles if you where racing me! I probley would :D

its the goggle police:eek2:

i know of 2 kids that lost eye sight when they hit a barbed wire fence sleigh riding, i know of others that had eyes damaged when riding thier bicycles in a state park and one was injured by sand at the beach. i also know of several riders that had eye damage even tho they had goggles on. i do agree that they should be worn, but i do not press the issue until other riders are present or he is riding a new area.
