426 engine ticking

Okay got my quad back last Friday and went out riding on sunday, my engine builder said he completed 4 heat cycles for break in he go out and ride it like uyou would normally ride it. I'm very happy with the power I gained but noticed a ticking noise coming from engine I was told that with the different tolerencs in the hotcam this is normal, I was told to keep on riding it?????

the hotcams tick a lot louder than stock. i'm pretty sure that is what you are hearing. ride it hard!!!!

Wow I bet that thing is a rocket now if you had all of that stuff done at the same time! Looks good.

Yeah the stage 1 hotcam is famous for ticking. To be honest, I would be worried if you had one and it didn't tick. There should be nothing to worry about.

Thank you guys hearing that the ticking is normal on the hotcam stage 1 puts me at ease, And yes the quad is very peppy front end comes up with the tap of the trottle.
