I am about to purchase a new or used atv. I am having a hard time deciding between the Arctic Cat 500, Honda Foreman, and the King Quad. All my family owns and has owned is King Quads both my father and brother have 2000 King Quad 300's and I have watched them out mud many a honda foreman, but the are hell to work on. I just want to know the things you cant look and see or read about. Dependability and DURABILITY. Oh yea, and if anyone knows any thing about the Bombardier Outlander 800 fill me in. Thanks guys.

my family owns a 98 Foreman with over 3300 miles only thing we have replaced are tires and Exhaust just from age and wear but everything else is origal including the spark plug. it has been a great quad. But we keep it maintained any quad should last as long as you do that.

the outlander 800 is a beast, smoked my 400 in a short drag race. It made the Prarie 700 have to really try to keep up with it. It has a mean motor in it with alot of power. You will be satisfied if you buy it, but ive heard that it shifts hard? I havent rode one enough to really tell if it does or not. The foreman are awesome quads. I had the 96 foreman 400, and it was a beast too. The only thing worng with mine was the 4x4 went out on it one day, because the guy before me ran it through too much salt water. The guy at my local honda shop said that was the first time they had to buy parts to put in a new cupling to replace the 4x4 on them. So..... i dont know. King Quads are nice to ride, great power, good acceleration, etc. If i were you i would get the Prarie 700, or the KQ 700, best 4x4's in 2005. The Polaris 800 and Kawasaki BF 750 didnt even beat the 700 prarie. ( Thats what it says in Dirt Wheels Magazine)
