How hard is it to rebuild a tranny on a 250x. And about how much would it cost? (BTW do it myself)

I wouldnt touch the bottom end. Id send it off to have it professionally done.

60 - 100 dollars and hour + parts.

Transmissions are very easy to do. get a book, lables, and a good memory and you should have no problem. The gears are going to prolly costs you around 100 - 120 dollars per gear.

idler gear and then the countershaft gear.

Good luck. Maybe you can find the parts you need on ebay.

What is exactually wrong with your tranny?

My third gear skips and i can start to feel other gears to skip too. Would it be cheaper to buy a bottom end off of ebay for like 400 dollars?

you never know what your going to get off ebay, especially when it comes to motors. If i bought a bottom end off ebay i would still go thru it and make sure nothings messed up.
