sproket questions

this is a stupid question probably but im installing a renthal sproket onto my 400ex and i was wondering which side of the sproket is going to face out.. the side thats raised up alittle with the serial # or w/e on it, or the flat side.. thx for the replys in advance

flat side goes in against the motor, i think it will only fit one way

nah it fit both ways thats why i was wondering, but i got it now, thx for the replies

Flat side out, I ckecked my stock sprocket and it's stamped right in the sprocket. :D :D

Yeah, it is flat side out. I just replaced mine last weekend. Should say IN and OUT on the new sprocket like the stocker did.
