Finnaly Got My 06 Trx450er!!!

PICKED IT UP TODAY!!! OMG i can NOT believe how hard this thing pulls!!! i was shaking after i rode it! i LOVE THIS BIKE! oh its red. I picked up 4 quarts of GN4 and filters for break in. my question is its a little hard to start. it cranks fine but just takes some time to fire, also it runs GREAT but when your off the gas and rolling and u smack it it has the tiniest bit of hesitation. Could this be cause by to lean of a pilot jet? if soo whats stock and what do i need? how hard is it to change? any help at all please! THANKS! ill get some pics up tommorow! oh by the way i got a nice set of aluminum fold up ramps and ordered some AC pro peg nerfs which will be here thursday. THANKS! :D

The hesitation comes from the 40mm flat-side carb. You'll get use to that rather quick. You kinda have to roll onto the throttle instead of punching it.;)

ok cool, thanks guys, so the jetting from the factory is fine? and what kinda fuel should i run for break in and after break in? thanks!

I only run 93 octane in mine, and it runs like a scalded dog!!:D I also have the AC pro pegs /Roll Design pegs with the kick-up, and Roll heel guards. The pegs are the best pegs that money can buy...BAR NONE!!

i finaly got it out on the dirt today and on some small jumps... and this is the best feeling quad in the air and ground i've ever ridden... I LOVE IT!!! i almost dont wana tare it down and build a TT bike out of it:ermm:

I put a 45 pilot in mine and it run better off the bottom. 42 was stock in mine.(canada):D

AWESOME!!! so what EXCACTLY runs better about it? start quicker or dont have as much *cough* when u wake it while off throttle? thanks! oh whats the best way to change the pilot jets on these bikes!?!?

Starts better and less COUGH!!! I turned the carb in the boots,then from the chain side used a short (stuby) screwdriver and a mirror. Was not easy but well worth it. I also put in a 160 main and drilled 2 more 1inch holes in the air box and that made the top end pull harder,a crf needle is my next mod.Its ajustable the stock is not. Hope this helps.:D :D
