wanting to race

hello to all with infromation , long time rider new to the race world , past i was on a 1989 250 r , now 2001 400 ex i am wanting to know all i can about getting back into the race world , anyone with help PLEASE HELP all infomation is welcome ,

well that all depends on what type of racing you want to get into. if your doing SX/MX, you will want to widen the quad out to the max! lower it with a set of MX tires, KENDA, ITP, MAXIS, whichever you like more. the MUST HAVE things: nerf bars, kill switch, and a good running quad :D if you plan on running hare scrambles, you will want a narower ride. stock weidth is fine, taller tires, ITP HD's or MAXXIs razors. you will want a stiffer tire to hold up when you hit rocks, stumps, etc. at least a 6 ply. 4 ply punctures way to easy. plus all the above to race, nerfs kill switch. let us know waht kind of racing and well help out.
