swing arm bolt

i have been reading on the horrors of the bolt siezing up and not coming off so i took mine off. it took me at least 1 hour and a lot of hammering to get it off. so to prevent it do i sand off all the rust spots and grease it? i really do not want to put a grease zerk on it

grease it and routinely pull and re grease it

^^^ Yuuup. Once you pull it out for the first time, clean it, and grease it, it will come out smooth as butter the next time you take it out to regrease ;)

Although the grease zerk is a good idea, I'd rather take it out say twice a year and check it out.
