Hey does anyone have a Jetta? They look like great cars, I was wondering if anyone has any comments or has had problems with them.

Been looking at this:

my buddys girlfriend owns a VW dealer ship. yes they are great cars, she has the same car that u have pictured but in charcoal.. very fast and it sounds sweet with and exhaust. my buddy has the jetta with the four cylinder turbo also fast for the little car.. very nice cars and they are a blast to drive....oh and my buddys little four cylinder killed a gt mustang.

My dad has one. He loves it and I love it too. It hasn't given us any problems at all and he had it for almost a year. I love sitting shotgun at nite because of the lights. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has to many wires and computer crap.

Yeah man, my cousin has one.. the only thing I didnt like was: I was picking up speed on the on-ramp to a highway, tires slipped alittle in the corner and the car just slammed itself into nuetral.

TCS im guessing.. We hit our heads on the dash lol.

i doubt it, unless he upped the boost a lot, cause my friend with the gti with the 1.8 turbo (5spd), with cold air and chip couldn't touch my friends 2000 auto gt with exhaust.

jettas are great we have an 04 TDI and for the most part we baby it and get 41-45 thats driving right at 60 ont he highway and highway miles are 99percent of whats its driven but these cars handle like a dream an are fun to drive if you wanna go fast

oh yea as for the racing thing with the TDI yea dead starts the TDI will get killed. my cuzin has a ricer civic and we raced from 60mph to 140mph out on the airport strecth (its a 5 mile strecht of road thats perefectly straight and alomost level the whole way) ..... well needless to say yall know the diesel won becasue once they build up they hual. accelerating onto the interstate is fun becasue coming on the ramp at 40 and getting on the gas hard will set you back. so lets jsut say the TDIs have a hell of alot of balls for a 90hp motor lol

as for the gas milage i filled the car up sunday after church (we always check our milage) and we got 578 miles on 13.24 gallons ....thats 43.65 mpg for those unbelievers out there. yes if you drive them right and dont floor it everywhere you go they get really good gas milage

They are cool cars and decently quick, and have cool features, but many of them have lots of little things that go wrong. There are alot of TSB's for little things. Common things I've seen on 2 Jettas and heard of more, is window clips breaking, sunroof issues, plug and coilpack issues (both VR6 & 1.8T)
The VR6's seem to like gas A lot too, but otherwise I have never met a jetta owner that doesn't love their car, even with the little problems, and the flip oout keys are awesome as h3ll.

Nice rides until the problems start. Once they begin, they don't end anytime soon.

It's not gas, it's diesel...so we''ll say fuel :D

maybe km per gallon?
