Hi Question about Honda Foreman 2005-2006 4x4 manual shift atvs Im looking to buy used or new. What is the top expected speed, and can they be rode with two people all day with comfort or is it best a single person quad and any pros or cons to this model to watch out for.
Thx Scott:cool:

the 4xe4 style should go about 55 mph, and it should be able to fit 2 (smaller) people on it nicely, i wouldnt say all day though, ive heard good things about it, and some bad things about people dont think it has enough power, i personally think the older styles have more power, but thats just me

I have a 05 Foreman 500 S and I Love it. It is all stock right now and it will run 55mph. I have it at the Honda shop right now getting the clutch recall done right now on it. I have been on 5 to 7 hour trips and have no complaints about it. I would recommend the Foreman 500 to anyone. It is not the biggest or fastest 4x4 out there but it does everything I need it to do.

Let me start off and say it is not really a recall but an UPDATE CAMPAIGN. Honda started sending them out in September to owners of the 05-06 TRX500FE/FM/TM.
It is a product update campaign to replace the clutch drive plate on certain 05-06 Foreman 500's.
On affected units the clutch drive plate was not manufactured to Honda's original design specs and may become loose. If this happens it may produce additional stress that could reduce its service life. The dealers will replace the clutch drive plate and any additional required parts at no cost to you for parts or labor.
People can contact Honda Customer Support at (866) 784-1870.
When I took mine in on 1/28, they said they are going to change out the whole clutch assemble, not just the clutch drive plate. I asked them at the Honda dealer if they have had any come in yet with any problems from this and they said no, not yet. As for riding double the 500 will do it, BUT I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!

I've got an'05 500 and love it. Good power, handles good for a big boy.And real comfortable on long rides.
I got the notice from Honda for the drive plate recall,no big deal,my dealer had it fixed and back in my truck in a day.
By the way, it's for sale if theres any one interested( nothing wrong just want to go back to sport bike)

My Honda dealer has had my Foreman 500 for over 3 weeks now for the clutch plate recall. I think I am going to give them a call on Tuesday to see whats up.

Just got my 05 Foreman 500 back tonight from the dealership for the clutch replacement update. I called them today and they said it was done 3 weeks ago. They said they called and left a message, I never got it. The only thing I can tell different from having the clutch work done is that the shifting fells a little smoother, due to the fact that they had to adjust the clutch after assembly. I am glad to have it home, was feeling lonely without it.
