I took this idea from quader400 This is a small tabletop we're in the process of building. Its about 25 foot wide. Thats really wide for where its at. I'll get more pics of it later.

nice man..around where i live most of the trees are like 3 ft around and heavy as hell so its harder for me to do it ... but ull find out its a lot easier to build jumps that way

i used a bunch of logs for my tabletop but it wasnt big enuff so i had a bunch of tires layin around and put on top then pile dirt up. lol lets say my table top is like a trampoline now :eek2:

lol. Those are old telephone poles that we cut into pieces. I"m in the process of making it longer now. I dont have any tires so i'm just gonna have to put alot of dirt on top of it.

Keep it maintained..otherwise you will have pole showing through after awhile. Thats the one bad thing about covering those up, "making sure you cover them up enough". Good luck!

Hondas are good things to pile dirt on to make a jump ;)

Ya I know, I'm gonna add about a ft 1/2 worth of dirt on top of it and make a big lip on it so it shoots us straight up. I cant really go for long distance because I dont have that much landing room before you have to turn. And if you dont turn you'll hit a tree. I'm gonna work on it today since it rained the dirt will be easier to get up since all I have Is shovels and wheel barrows.lol.

Heres a tip, before you cover the logs/poles up, try covering them with a tarp and staking it down somehow. This way the dirt doesnt settle and then the logs dont show. You get the point

Wouldn't the dirt help lock the logs together?

If you look close in the pic that is a black peice of construction tarp, I'll put that on top of the logs and see how it works.
