Dont put it on the nose, I lost one that way, and my 2nd one is beat to heck, I need to order some new ones. They are very suseptable to damage there.

I aim to miss the trees, not bounce off them. :D
I just have never needed one and use my money on other things to better the quad then a bumper. I know one day I will bite the bullet but I say what the he!! I have survived for a few years whats a few more.

You must not ride hard...! One day you will pop a tree and bend your A-arm and bend your tie rod and wish you had that bumper....

Hey, no offence, but that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard! Bumpers are purely cosmetics, and maybe weight savings. I plan to get one, dont get me wrong, but there are other things I would rather get. It really bothers me when people say I am a bad rider, or not pushing myself enugh if I'm not crashing. If I do crash, it is because I got lazy and stopped paying attention, or let a powerslide go on to long, or some other fault of mine, not that I was riding to hard. A bumper isnt going to protect your a-arms significantly enugh to justify a bumper. Your a-arms are probably stronger then the bumper anyway. <rant off>

No Offense taken to the statement but here is my reply:
I ride at my own pace and am not concerned with breaking any land/woods speed record. My riding buddies are Pro Prod/4 stroke mod GNCC racers, and I can keep pace with them. I think I ride with common sense not with an insane feeling to kill everything in my path.
I enjoy watching people like yourself Jeff in the woods, it is a site, a site that I just shake my head and and ride on.
Jeff I am sure you are a great rider and prolly better than me but some of us ride for the fun of it and not to prove anything. I hope you keep yours off the trees too.

I put mine on the nose of mine but I wouldnt suggest it. Maybe around the headlight areas so it takes less abuse.
BTW, Zing....what are your buddies names in the GNCC? I have been meanin to ask ya just never got round to it.

I ride with James Shepard Pro Prod rider #749, Jason Buchanon Pro Prod rider #442, and Matt Foutch 4 Stroke Mod rider # 210.
Shepard's Dad lives down in our area and has a practice track setup on their land. We all get together there or other riding areas they like.

I agree. But I didnt mean it totally like that. Im just saying that ONE DAY your going to eventually pop a tree. No matter how hard you ride. I have hit only a couple small trees with my 400ex, but not hard enough to hurt anything.
