View Full Version : Razrs, holeshots, other?

I ride on various surfaces in Ga., Tenn, and Alabama. Would like some help making the correct tire choice. I mostly just ride in the woods but may do a little racing in the future ( hare scrambles etc)

if u do a serch on tires you will get a lot of opions on which tire to get. personally i would probably get some holeshots

Id say get some Razr's. I have used those for a long time.They're good at about all conditions, except extreme mudding.

razr 2's or gbc shredders r/a,holeshots have a very slow leak around the rims but there ok when there full

razrs holeshots and shredders are all the same tire pretty much, they all perform the same, just get wich ever one you want!!!

I've had Razrs and Holeshots, not a whole lot of difference. I like the looks of the Razrs better, though. I saw the article DirtWheels did a while back on sport tires, they said the Holeshots were a little heavier.

i have come to the conclusion that there isn't a big enough difference in these 3 tires (holeshots, shredders, razrs) to really matter unless you are a pro racer who needs the absolute best traction and if that was true you would probably already own three pairs of each tire. so what i did was i went and bought the shredders because they are the least expensive. i suggest you do the same.

GBC R/A Shredders have great hookup and are a tough tire!!! I would definatley check into them!

well i finally got some time on my shredders and let me tell ya they are awesome. they slide really good for being brand new too. great traction. my only complaint is they make the ride a lot rougher compared to the stock tires, especially when your in a wheelie but the reason for this is because they have a stiffer sidewall. i definately reccommend the shredders!

just my personal experience and opinion is that the shredders dont float my boat... they just didnt seem to hook up and perform as good as the razrs or the holeshots.... im about to purchase new tires and i know what im getting.... Razr 2's... im jsut waitin for them to come out!! ive had razrs before and they were AWESOME but they were 22" so i didnt like the size of them but that was my mistake on that one but the tread pattern and hookup are AWESOME... imho

by they way the razr 2's say summer 2002... its almost gone are they out yet?

my freind just got a pair of gbc shredders for his warrior, they hook up great, and look good to. im gonna get a set for my 300ex when i get some $$$

Holeshots! get the XCR's cost me 69 dollares each and there 6 ply! which si teh best rating on the tires!

i love the hookup

razrs are great too, and ive noticed, holeshots are softer, weigh slighter more and get chunks takin out of them like dirtbke tires do while the shredders n razrs both just wear down just my .02

umm my shredders hook up like crazy I have them 6 ply...and i am on pavement a lot...and the wear on them is little or none...they are a stout tire...every quad ive ridden with Razors is hard to break traction on in corners...that can be good and that can be real bad...But its all about what you want..I love my shredders and wont go to another brand of rear tire on a quad
