Oh man, I wish I had gone. I would have loved to have raced those guys.... looks like nice competition for my 450r.

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 06:42 PM
lol...i saw that old 3 wheeler pull out a 4x4 it did pretty good on that one. at least I am not sore today all i did was drag race today. I didnt hit any of the tracks..you can get some aftermarket bars pretty cheap depending how much u wanna spend..some start a lil under $30

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 06:43 PM
lol i may have waxed that 450...;)

02-05-2006, 06:43 PM

02-05-2006, 06:51 PM
i got so much dirt in my eyes and in my shirt and my shoes from that 450r with the paddles

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 06:51 PM
just a lil ol 400ex......that ballance edition was screaming today....that was definitly a fast one

02-05-2006, 06:53 PM
u saw those 2 drag banshees?

almost ran me over lol

CHEVYZ
02-05-2006, 06:56 PM
Anything internal? It looks fimiliar.

Yeah, that bike looks pretty darn fast.... cough cough... fun to beat. :p Maybe LOL... sure would have been nice to meet you guys anyway. I never seem to be able to go when you guys do.

400exXx, I hear you on the dirt. It hurts worse when it is sand from a super-fast drag 250r.:p

02-05-2006, 06:59 PM
i bet it does lol

i took off on the line then my bike died and i got semi-roosted :( :( :(

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:06 PM
chevyZ we ride out there a good bit...you have probably have seen me out there...dont pay me any mind i love to trash talk..if you are ever out there roll up and say hello. I am probably going back out there weekend after next...after that I will be stuck in brazil for a while....ryan when u line up to drag u would probably do better trying to get on the outside instead of being in the middle of all that roost...those tires throw up alot of dirt the whole run. being on the outside u will not get sprayed as bad

02-05-2006, 07:08 PM
well he got in front me too

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:13 PM
there is usually alot of sliding and bumping coming out the hole

02-05-2006, 07:13 PM
yeah i think you bumped into me which made me kill thne he got infront of me

CHEVYZ
02-05-2006, 07:14 PM
Yeah, alot of the time I run my 400EX against some faster guys ( Raptor 700s, YFZs, 450rs) just for fun... but beware... get on the outside. It is less bumpy there, and you won't get blasted as long as you stay away from the side which the wind is blowing it to. Last time I went I got a Raptor 660 both times we raced... so I was pretty proud of that, rider or not, from a semi-stock 400. Never know until you try.... and it makes it that much funner trying to get something that you KNOW should be faster.:D

On the hole-shot though, watch out for those 450s, especially the faster ones. They tend to slide around ALOT and can get right in front of you at WOT. Ouch!

02-05-2006, 07:17 PM
i dont like going real fast on bumpy trails cuz ill loose control...suspention is too hard, and i dont have 300-500 to spend on new suspension

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:20 PM
nothing like winning on a 400 when u not supposed to ;) I love to look at their face at the end after u get them lol

CHEVYZ
02-05-2006, 07:20 PM
Haha, my thought exactly!

02-05-2006, 07:21 PM
hey bayou_boy (i forgot your name, sorry)

what kind of HMF pipe you have ballance or sport series??

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:22 PM
get a steering damper ryan. it definitly helps with the bumps. do a search in the suspension furum there is alot of info on it

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:23 PM
my name is timmy....i have the sport series. it does the job

CHEVYZ
02-05-2006, 07:25 PM
bayou boy, ever been to Catahoula Recreation? I know this is kind of out there... but just asking.......

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:26 PM
I have been there twice. awesome place to ride

CHEVYZ
02-05-2006, 07:29 PM
When is the last time that you went? Have a buddy with a 416EX?

Yeah, that place is also alot of fun. Lots of really cool guys out there.

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:30 PM
we went for new years...I have 2 buddies with 416s

CHEVYZ
02-05-2006, 07:34 PM
Did you meet anyone out there with a 400EX ( Red) and 450r ( Black)? I believe that I went around the same time and saw a bike that looked just like yours. In fact, I believe that when I talked to the guy he had another buddy ( Not with him) with a 416EX. That was when all I had was my pipe
( HMF), airfilter, and jet kit.

02-05-2006, 07:35 PM
id love to go to to C.R. but its 3 hours away

02-05-2006, 07:36 PM
i think yall were camped close to us....we had all 3 ex's out there that weekend....you have rooster paddles on the 450?

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:38 PM
lol it is almost 4 hrs for me. it is a great place to ride though...bring paddles and regular tires....they have some good trails to blast through too

02-05-2006, 07:40 PM
do you think paddles would work good for the spillway???

what kind of drag tires did you have?

also, if i had better suspension i would go real fast cuz i wouldnt be bouncing all over the place, i guess im too light for the bike

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:42 PM
i wouldnt use my paddles at the spillway...the ground is too packed you would end up ruining your paddles...i had zippers on today they hook good there 1st thru third the front wants to go to the sky

bayou boy
02-05-2006, 07:44 PM
you can do minor adjustments to your front shocks...not a whole lot though and the back can be adjusted also. next time i see you out there i will show you

CHEVYZ
02-05-2006, 07:45 PM
Yep! Thought that bike looked fimiliar.... now I see why. Yeah, I have added a little since then, and tore down my 400 for a build. I picked up a 440 cylinder for really cheap, so I went with it instead of the 416. Now I have both... so no worries. If it ever goes out on me or if I have prob. I will go with either the 426 or 416. Got the 450r carb like recommended though. I may think about getting an Edelbrock eventually, but we will see if I am impressed. I may have to steal the EX back! :p

I am not going back racing without straight paddles on the 450. It just wasn't hooking to well of the line most of the time. Nice talking to you again! That is surprising.... we are going to have to get together again......

small world lol...i had to change my clutch after that weekend started to slip...i put the gt thunder 8 disc and hinson basket in it yesterday...she hooks now. i need some new paddles also...i have the kings turbo 8 paddle but it spins way too much...i'm thinking 21x12x8 8 paddle haulers.

Hey, I'm still here, and I am amazed at all the post and talk going on! It's amazing to see all these Louisiana people are on here! I have been to Forest Hill it is very bumpy. I broke my thumb there. (ouch!). I have also went to Catahoula Recreation last March, that place was awsome!
