hey, do you guys think it would be possible to fit a 2001 cbr 600f4i in my 99 300ex frame?with new mounts on it? i can get one for 500$ on a totalled bike....can I?

i bet you could come down on the price a little and sell it for more on ebay:D I think if you did you would have a LOT of problems and I highly doubt it will fit.

in my own opinion...I think its a waste of a project...such an awesome motor...and that under par 300ex frame and suspension....but hey whatever tickles your twinkie:D

yeah i wouldn't think of jumping it and I don't think I would take it on anything but the street which then you have to deal with cops.

If you could get it to fit, it would turn that frame into a corkscrew in no time. :D

If you did that, you'd have to check your frame welds, etc alot more often. You'd probably have to put alot of supports on the frame, to help it. The axle carriers,etc. should hold up.

It all boils down to reliability reasons.If you could brace the frame fairly well, and get proper motor supports in, it should work. Id say invest in some aftermarket spindles,an axle,hubs,chain,and maybe an aftermarket axle carrier.If you dont get new hubs, and a chain, their likely to break :confused:


But yeah, it could be done, but it most likely will break stuff very easily.
