I think he has a 250r and wants to beat a 450r. He is wondering what to do without having to mess with his motor.

And he wants to go at least 80.

His name does say 440ex though.. I hope he doesnt have a 440 with reeds?

By the way.. I would just race the guy as it is, maybe get a head pipe to go with the slip-on. If you know how to shift you should keep right up with him.

Get a full Sparks, or LRD exaust, a bigger carb, take off the air box lid if the conditions you ride aren't too wet and muddy, get a Uni air filter, and also get the stock head machined for more compression, or get a pro design cool head. That and stock gearing 13/38 and 20 in. tires, and you will be owning stock, and piped 450's in drags all day long.

Well, once I get my motor together, I will have an .080 over piston (265cc's) Boysenn rad valve, 38mm airtstriker carb, full FMF fatty pipe with shortened silencer, uni filter, and a spacer plate in the motor (smooth's out the powerband). One guy I ride with has a piped and cammed 450r, and the other will have a full Baldwin built motor (everything done to it that you can think of except boring it out). I will let you know how mine does against them. I am pretty sure it will take the piped and cammed one without much trouble, but I highly doubt I'll be able to take the full built one. Actually, theres no chance I'll be able to take that one because he's going to have about 55 hp, and I'll only have aroung 48 or 50.

I have a sparks MX pipe and silencer, cool head, boysen carbon fiber reeds, with a reed spacer, bored .010 over, 13/38 gearing, and 20 inch tires, and I was keeping right up with a stock 450r, hell I wasn't even wide open half the time.
